Tastes Like Home
When you move into a new home, the last thing on your mind is what to cook. For your first night in your new house you need a meal that is hearty, easy and – above all – tastes like home.
And, of course, the crowd favourite that ticks all of these boxes is spaghetti bolognaise. Here is a simple recipe that ensures your first meal in your new home is absolutely delicious and one to remember:
EASY SPAGHETTI BOLOGNAISE
Ingredients:
Olive oil
Choice of vegetables (we recommend onion, carrot and zuchinni)
Garlic
Beef mince
Spaghetti
Pasta Sauce
Salt and pepper
Preparation:
1. Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Add the vegetables. Cook, uncovered, for 8-10 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
2. Increase heat to high and add the mince. Cook, stirring, for 2-3 minutes or until well browned. Add the pasta sauce and 1/4 cup (60ml) of water and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti following packet instructions or until al dente. Drain.
4. Add the bolognaise sauce to the spaghetti and toss until well combined. Divide among serving bowls to serve.
