New Chapter, Same Commitment: Why I’ve Joined LJ Hooker Southern Gold Coast

After eighteen months with Harcourts Property Hub, I’m starting a new chapter in my real estate career, and I wanted my clients, friends and everyone who’s trusted me with one of the biggest decisions of their lives to hear it from me directly, not through the grapevine. I’ve joined LJ Hooker Southern Gold Coast, and I couldn’t be more excited about what it means for the people I work with.

Before I get into what’s ahead, I want to sit with what’s behind me for a moment. My time at Harcourts Property Hub gave me real experience, and a firsthand look at what a high-turnover and big business actually feels like from the inside. I’m walking away thankful for the experience and excited to put into practise the lessons I have learnt  and if you’ve ever gone through a career change yourself, you’ll know those two feelings, the excitment to be moving on combined with that daunting emotion of starting again are genuine feelings that we all come across with any act of change. So I thankyou in advance for your support.

Why LJ Hooker Southern Gold Coast

Anyone who’s worked with me knows I don’t chase logos. I chase relationships, the chance to sit across the table from someone and help them through one of the biggest decisions they’ll ever make, whether that’s buying a first home, selling the house they raised their kids in, or simply working out what comes next. That part of the job has never changed for me, and it’s exactly what drew me toward this move.

LJ Hooker Southern Gold Coast runs four offices, in Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, Currumbin and Coolangatta, which gives me a much wider footprint across Southern Queensland and into Northern NSW. And somehow, despite that scale, it still feels closer to home and a little more intimate than where I’ve been.

Here’s what really sealed it for me, though. LJ Hooker is one of Australia’s most recognised and respected real estate brands, but the Southern Gold Coast team hasn’t let that size dilute the culture one bit. It’s still a close-knit group of agents who genuinely care, who understand that this was never really just about ticking off property goals. For most of my clients, it’s a life change. Sometimes it’s the biggest one they’ll go through.

And yes, I’m well aware of the irony of me, of all people, joining a brand built on decades of trusted history. A little like this one, some might say.
